# NØFI DAO

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Coming soon.** Governance and token mechanics are in development.
{% endhint %}

## Vision

NØFI is designed to transition into a community-governed protocol. The DAO will give users and stakeholders a direct voice in:

* **Protocol governance** — fees, partner integrations, new market launches
* **Treasury allocation** — how protocol revenue is reinvested
* **Credit parameters** — underwriting criteria and risk management

## Why DAO Governance

A neobank that serves underbanked populations shouldn't be controlled by the same centralized structures that failed them. Community governance ensures:

* Users in each market have input on local features and partnerships
* Protocol revenue benefits token holders, not just equity investors
* No single entity can freeze, restrict, or gate-keep access

## Details

Token sale, supply, governance model, and risk framework details will be published here as they are finalized.

> *Governance is not an afterthought — it's the endgame. The goal is to build infrastructure that outlasts any single company.*

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.nofi.money/nofi-dao.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
